I got a call from a woman that recruits for a local MDA Jailbreak event, where participants are “arrested” by volunteer fire fighters from their workplaces and taken to a local restaurant, where they’re placed in a “cell.” They, in turn, recruit people to donate money to “bail” them out. All the proceeds go to sending kids with Muscular Dystrophy to camp.
Well, I was all sorts of excited. But I had to call my boss to get the okay, and he said it was a waste of time. “We have work to do.” Dude, I wouldn’t even be on the clock. It’s somebody else’s shift. He wouldn’t even have to pay me. But no.
Maybe I’ll donate to someone else’s bail then.
